Dover
BACKGROUND
The Dover Association is incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation under Illinois law. The Association is the governing body for the administration, operation, maintenance, repair and replacement of the Community Area.
Dover, being the last single family communities developed, consists of 214 single-family homes located at the southern section of Carillon. It was established for adults 55 years of age and older as dictated by Federal Law, Fair Housing Act of 1988. There are five styles of homes in Dover: Camelback, Greenbriar, Palm Springs, Tanterra, and a two-story style, Sun Valley. Some of these styles have full basements. Each style has individual features. Construction of the Dover Community was completed in the year 2000. The community is within easy walking distance of the Carillon community clubhouse.
MANAGEMENT
Assessments are levied by the Association for:
i. Promoting recreation, health, safety, and welfare of members of the Association;
ii. Administer the affairs of the Association and to pay the Community Common Expenses;
iii. and to accumulate Capital Reserves for future repairs, maintenance, and improvements to the Common Area.
Assessments shall be payable monthly as directed by the Board of Directors.
Dover residents are governed according to the Declarations and By-Laws established to maintain a neighborhood that is safe, tranquil and aesthetically pleasing, which will enhance the value of our property as well as provide enjoyment of each resident. From time-to-time creation of new or revised rules and regulations may be required.
Dover employs a management company which handles day-to-day homeowner questions and/or problems. However, at any time you may contact one of our five-member Board of Directors.
Dover Association holds their Board of Directors Meetings the second Tuesday in February, April, June, August, October (which is our Annual Meeting), and December. The Board also meets the Friday before the Board of Directors Meeting to discuss outstanding issues. All meetings are open to the Homeowners to attend. Also, at our Board of Directors Meeting, there is an open forum where any Homeowner can address the Board with questions and/or issues. These meetings are published in our Dover Newsletter that goes out to each Homeowner monthly.
