Aberdeen
BACKGROUND
The mission of the Aberdeen Board of Directors is “To maintain and increase property values and improve the quality of life in Aberdeen”.
Aberdeen was in the early stages of development in July of 1990. There were 376 occupied units in all of Carillon, 49 of which were in Aberdeen. Interior streets in Aberdeen were not completed until 1996 and the number of stand-alone homes now is 160.
MANAGEMENT
The Aberdeen Board of Directors is responsible for all contracts, which include lawn maintenance, snow removal, interior community streets, sidewalks, and storm sewers. All streets have been resurfaced in recent years. Sidewalk repair, sewer evaluation and curb repairs are ongoing projects. The association continues to have healthy reserves.
The members of the Board of Directors are a very diverse group. Each member brings a wealth of background experience and skills to the table. The Board and other community meetings are efficiently conducted. Board members are active on the Carillon Adult Master Association (CAMA) committees. There is an association newsletter each month reporting current association topics in the Talk of the Town published by CAMA.
ABERDEEN’S HUMAN FACE
The activities committee plans parties and functions throughout the year. The holiday party in December was a lovely sit-down dinner, completed with festive china dinnerware and entertainment. Other activities in the summer and fall have included a pork roast and miniature golf.
The future of Aberdeen is up to the residents to make it what they want it to be. Come join us.
