Horseshoes

When: Tournament dates are updated at the beginning of the season
Where: Carillon Horseshoe Courts are located by the tennis courts and near the outside pool. Equipment is located in the sport shed alongside the clubhouse near the shuffleboard courts and open to all residents. The door to the shed must remain locked when equipment is not in use. Registration takes place in the month of April and is posted on the clubhouse bulletin board and also in our monthly newsletter. A list of all registered residents is posted on the bulletin board one week before the tournament starts. During that time residents are to check off if they are able to play on the next tournament date. The team and times will then be posted on the bulletin board the Saturday prior to the tournament date. All paid tournaments are scheduled on Monday mornings at 8:30 a.m. Resident players must sign up 15 minutes before playing time. There are four tournament dates-one in each month. The total cost for the four tournaments is $10.00 per person. All money collected from the tournaments is distributed back to the playing residents in the form of prizes at the banquet normally held in October.
Description: Horseshoes is a popular backyard game that is designed for 2 to 4 players at a time. The basic object of the game is to try to throw a horseshoe so that it hooks the stake or to get the horseshoe as close to the stake as possible.
Tournaments: Dates will be posted at the beginning of the season.
